Introduction

For a lot of us, we use the PC everyday and it has become an indispensable tool. It gives us access to our friends and family, allows us to shop for any item we want anywhere, and is an almost infinite source of information. Probably the "infinite" part of the equation has become a problem. In this section you will find a selection of tools and sources of information that will cut down on the "infinite"part of the world wide web.

The PC Help section has some tips for using the PC.

The Free Programs section is a collection of links to programs that are safe for downloading and could save you money.

The On-Line Services section is a collection of links to great services including Do Not Call sign up, free Credit reports, Get a Human list, photo sharing sites, links to useful information sites, and more.

Java

To use the directories expanding and folding capabilities, you need to have Java enabled. Here is how to do it in IE and Firefox:

Internet Explorer:
Select the Tools menu, then Internet Options, Advanced
Insure under Java (Sun) the Üse JRE "box" is checked.
In older versions you will find the Java enable under Microsoft VM. Check the "Java Console Enabled".

Firefox:
Select the Tools menu, then Content, ensure the Enable Java and Enable Java Script are checked. If you don't want to enable Java Script globally, get the Firefox extension "No Script".
