Buying on Ebay Safely

 

1.     Seller must have >98% positive feedback.

2.     How long has the seller been registered?  Scammers register quickly, do their scams, and then register again using new name.

3.     Is the seller in the U.S.?  Canada is usually okay, but otherwise except that you are taking a risk.

2.     Price should be greater than 49% and less than 80% of new.

3.     Does the buyer have Paypal protection?

4.     Is the item's photo an origanal photo?  Scammers often use stock photos.  In otherwords, they don't actually have the product.

5.     Search Google for the seller's name and email.  Problems with a seller can often be picked up this way.

6.     Look up the seller's name in http://www.ripoffreport.com. 

7.     Use Paypal to pay. Never send money order, a check, or give seller your credit card number.
