Send e-mail that gets read
Follow these rules to avoid annoying
your buddies:
- Don’t use ALL CAPS. It is
very hard to read.
- Use a descriptive subject
line. Examples: Joke, Digest, Upcoming Trip
- Brevity is the soul. Get to
the point. Long paragraphs are hard to read on-screen.
- If the urge to send funny
stuff overpowers you, prefix your subject line with “joke”.
- When you reply to a mailing
list, trim the junk from the previous messages.
- See “E-mail Forwarding” for
the instructions on the proper way to forward messages.
