Introduction
This is a great area for activities. There is a lot happening at any time of the year. The local organizations have events all year long. See Events for what's happening. There is sking, hiking, biking, mountain climbing, boating, kayaking, rafting, biking, golf, scenic tours, picnicking and more.
Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department operates and maintains about 200 areas of community parks through out the County including Topaz Lake Park and Topaz Ranch Estates Park.
Lyon County also has several parks for the communities.
